Abstract: The new tropical Nymphaea cultivar‘Angel’is selected from the seedlings of N.‘Immutabilis’.The plant of this new cultivar is large, with ovate parted leaves which has irregularly dentate margin and yellow-green surface.The cultivar has relatively large leaf width and the average leaf area is 51 cm×58 cm.N. Angel′s flowers are day blooming and opens 4-5 days.Its cyathiform flowers is semi-double flowering, with flower diameter about 16-17 cm.The petal of N. Angel is purple-white complex with petal number around 50-52.Flowers are abundant, large and fragrant, with sepal number of 4.Pedicel is erect and emergence height above water is 70-75 cm.N.Angel grows well in full light and is able to bloom whole year in Sanya with full bloom stage from April to November.N.Angel is fertile with seed color of brown.
