Abstract:
Improving the competitiveness of vegetable industry is the key to solve the problems of ‘Agriculture, Rural Areas and Farmers’.The improvement of the competitiveness of vegetable industry is of great significance to promote the process of agricultural modernization in China.Using the principal component analysis method and the comprehensive score and ranking of the vegetable industry competitiveness of 16 prefecture level cities in Shandong Province in 2006,2011,2016 and 2019,the grade distribution and interpolation effect map of the vegetable industry competitiveness were obtained through ArcGIS software, and the evolution law of its spatial differentiation and expansion on four time sections was summarized. The results showed that the core factors(modern factor investment and agricultural foundation) that determine the competitiveness of vegetable industry in Shandong Province have not changed qualitatively, which is obviously consistent with the change of its comprehensive competitiveness.Weifang had always ranked first in time, and the gap between Weifang and Jinan was ‘expanding narrowing’ State, forming the evolution pattern from dispersion to agglomeration in space. The development of vegetable industry competitiveness was consistent with the regional coordinated development strategy of the three economic circles in Shandong, which was conducive to the correct positioning and long-term development layout of vegetable industry in Shandong Province, and put forward feasible suggestions in order to point out the direction for realizing agricultural modernization in 2035.
