Abstract:
Taking 24 strawberry varieties as test materials, principal component analysis and cluster analysis methods were used to analyze the seedling quality and breeding ability of different varieties in the northwest cold and drought region, in order to provide reference for sustainable development of the local strawberry industry. The results showed that each trait was extremely significantly correlated with at least one other trait by the correlation analysis of 14 agronomic traits. The comprehensive scores of 10(‘Angel AE’),3(‘Tianxianzui’),23(‘Hongyan’),5(‘Xuetu’) and 8(‘Lixue’) were the highest with quantitative function model based on three principal component factors calculated.Cluster heat map was used to systematically classified in varieties, the 24 varieties were clustered into 3 categories according to 14 traits, 10(‘Angel AE’),3(‘Tianxianzui’) and 8(‘Lixue’) could be classified into 1 group whose seedling qualities were excellent and their seedling quantities were moderate. The results were similar to those of the field observation. The synthetically analysis showed that 10(‘Angel AE’),3(‘Tianxianzui’) and 8(‘Lixue’) were the most suitable for seedling rasing, popularization and had potential application in the northwest cold and drought region.
