Abstract:
A field study was conducted to determine the effects of different plastic mulching methods on soil properties and the pant performance indicators, taking Astragalus Mongolicus and Scutellaria baicalensis as the experimental materials, in order to screen adaptive drought-resistant cultivation managements in the arid central Ningxia(CN).The results showed that plant fresh weight had a significant positive correlation with root length, rhizome thickness, soil water content, soil temperature and other indicators. The overall performance of within different treatments was better.Compared with CK,the soil temperature and soil water content of double plastic mulching treatment in 0-20 cm soil layers were increased by 30.0% and 67.4%.These in turn promoted the plant development of Astragalus Mongolicus and Scutellaria baicalensis, earlier seedling emergence, longer length and root length, and thicker rhizomes. The fresh weight of Astragalus Mongolicus and Scutellaria baicalensis increased by 300.0% and 361.0%,respectively, compared with CK.Double plastic mulching hole sowing would be a more suitable planting technique for Astragalus Mongolicus and Scutellaria baicalensis in the arid central Ningxia.
