Abstract:
Taking wutacai(‘Jinmudan’),Brassica oleracea(‘Shanghaiqing’) and pakchoi(‘Four Season Cream Pakchoi’) as test materials, the effects of different single Cd, single As, and Cd-As combined pollution levels on the fresh quality, dry mass tolerance index(TI,%),heavy metal concentration, and heavy metal transport coefficient(TF) of leafy vegetables were studied through a hydroponic experiment, in order to provide reference for the safe planting of leafy vegetables in the soil polluted by heavy metals. The results showed that single Cd pollution, single As pollution and Cd-As compound pollution had significant inhibitory effects on the growth of tested leafy vegetables. The tested Brassica oleracea and wutacai were Cd and As tolerant, and pakchoi was Cd and As sensitive leafy vegetable. The Cd concentration in shoot(edible part) of wutaicai was significantly lower than Brassica oleracea and pakchoi, and there was no significant difference in As concentration among the three leafy vegetables.Combined pollution decreased the shoot Cd and root As concentration of wutaicai, but increased the shoot Cd concentration in Brassica oleracea and pakchoi. And compound pollution did not affect TF-Cd, but significantly increased TF-As of leafy vegetables.
