Abstract: In order to analyze the development status of the Chinese medicine industry in Jiangxi Province, to explore the current problems of the industry development and to propose corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Investigate and make a horizontal and vertical comparative analysis of the scale, growth rate, profitability and concentration of the Chinese medicine industry in Jiangxi Province from 2011 to 2020.2020 saw a year-on-year growth of 1.08% in the main business income of the Chinese medicine industry in Jiangxi Province, an expansion in the scale of the Chinese medicine industry and an increase in industrial profits, but the industrial profitability is lower than the national level and the industrial advantage is not obvious.The development of the Chinese medicine industry has slowed down and the growth rate has decreased; however, the overall growth trend is observed; the concentration of the industry is high; a more complete industrial chain has been formed, but there are still outstanding problems such as industrial structure imbalance, weak foundation of related industries, restricted development environment of the Chinese medicine industry, and insufficient transformation of innovation achievements.In order to promote the high-quality development of the Chinese medicine industry in Jiangxi Province, it is recommended to strengthen the efficient integration of the development of one, two and three industries, guide the gathering of the Chinese medicine industry to enhance the scale of the industry, strongly support scientific and technological innovation, improve the medical insurance policy to drive the development of the Chinese medicine industry, strictly control the quality of the Chinese medicine products, promote the green and sustainable development of the industry, and accelerate the implementation of the development strategy goal of our province as a strong Chinese medicine province.
