Abstract:
The seeds of Calendula officinalis,Zinnia elegans and Tagetes erecta were taken as test materials, and hydroponic experiments were carried out in petri dishes. The effects of different concentrations of Pb solution(0,50,100,200,400 mg·L
-1) on seed germination and seedling growth of three Compositae were studied. The germination potential, germination rate, germination index, vigor index, and root length, bud length, fresh weight, and dry weight of the tested plant under different stress conditions were measured. The comprehensive evaluation of heavy metal Pb tolerance of the three plants was conducted using the membership function method, the tolerance for Compositae plants to heavy metals was studied, in order to explore the application potential of Compositae plants in ecological remediation of heavy metal lead-contaminated soil. The results showed that as the degree of stress increased, the seed germination rate and germination index of Calendula officinalis showed a low promotion and high inhibition, while the fresh and dry weight of Zinnia elegans seedlings also showed a low promotion and high inhibition, while other indicators showed a downward trend. However, the seed germination index and seedling growth index of Tagetes erect showed a downward trend, and the inhibitory effect gradually increased.Through the analysis of the membership function method, concluded that the order of the tolerance of the three Compositae plants to heavy metal Pb was Tagetes erecta>Zinnia elegans>Calendula officinalis.
