Abstract: Malus ‘Yanying’ is a new crabapple vatiety which was selected from a cross between a selection of Malus ‘Prairifire’ × M.‘Sparkler’.The vatiety have purple red, semi double and fragrant flowers.Time of flowering of the vatiety is late, in late April.The fruit has oval shape and purple color.The persistence of fruits can reach 200 days.In addition to its high ornamental value due to its colorful flowers and fruits, this vatiety has late flowering, strong resistance to low temperature and diseases.Its adaptability is strong, and is suitable for planting in north of China.
