Abstract: Ground-cover Dianthus ‘Yuanhong’ is a new and excellent cultivar of ground-cover dianthus, which is produced through somatic hybridization from Dianthus chinensis and Dianthus caryophyllus ‘Tuareg’.Its height is about 15 cm, the average crown diameter is 25 cm, the plant shape is upright and compact.The flowers are single petal, red and bright, the average diameter of a single flower is 2.2 cm.The number of small flowers is 45-50 per plant, and the flowers are dense.It has the characteristics of drought resistance, high temperature resistance, strong light resistance, no obvious diseases and pests, which overall performance is excellent.It is suitable for planting in Shanghai and surrounding areas.
