Abstract: Green development is an important way to improve agricultural quality, efficiency and competitiveness.By measuring the level of agricultural green development in Hebei Province, this study provided reference for implementing the rural revitalization strategy and promoting agricultural and rural modernization.According to the main direction of agricultural and rural development in Hebei Province during the ‘14^th Five Year Plan Period’,this study built an agricultural green development index system with 14 secondary indicators in four dimensions, resource conservation and conservation, ecological environment security, green product supply and a better life.This study determined the index weight by using the combination of analytic hierarchy process and entropy evaluation method, and analyzed and evaluated the level and regional characteristics of agricultural green development in Hebei Province.The results showed that there were significant differences in the level of agricultural green development among regions in Hebei Province, the development level of cities in the middle of the province was higher, the development level of cities in the South and North was relatively low, and the overall level of agricultural green development of cities around Beijing, Tianjin and provincial capital city was higher than that of other cities.This study put forward some suggestions from the aspects of strengthening the awareness of green development, building a green development support system and implementing green production mode, so as to provide help for the revitalization of rural areas.
