Abstract:
Taking ‘Yuehua’‘Fuji’ and ‘Hanfu’ apples as test merterial, fruit waxing was adopted, and no fruit wax was used as the control.By observing the changes of fruit appearcance, measuring the ethylene production,hardness,soluble solids content,ascorbic acid content,titratable acid content and weight loss rate of fruit,the effect of fruit wax on apple quality was studied,in order to provide reference for waxing technology in the theoretical research and practical technology of post-harvest apple storage.The results showed that fruit wax treatment made the fruit skin much shinier and brighter than the control group and significantly delayed the fruit color turning stage.Fruit wax treatment also delayed the decrease of the content of ascorbic acid and titratable acid as well as the hardness of the fruit,reduced the ethylene production and weight loss rate of the fruit,but had no significant effect on the content of soluble solids.Fruit wax treatment improved the appearance and internal quality of post-harvest apple fruits.
