Abstract:
Taking variety of ‘Fengshengjiaowang’ eggplant as scions, ‘190-1-8’‘RS-2’‘RS-5’‘Qinqing’ and ‘Wild Tomato’ as the rootstocks, the effects of different rootstocks grafting on selenium accumulation in eggplant were studied by a pot experiment, and in order to screen out the rootstocks that could promote the selenium accumulation in eggplant.The results showed that the five rootstocks increased the biomass of eggplant roots and shoots in varying degrees, and the effect of ‘Wild Tomato’ rootstock was the best.Different rootstocks also increased the content of photosynthetic pigment(chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll and carotenoid) and POD activity, but decreased the activity of CAT;different rootstocks had different effects on the activity of SOD and the content of soluble protein.‘RS-2’ and ‘Wild Tomato’ rootstocks increased the selenium content and selenium enrichment of eggplant scion, and ‘Wild Tomato’ rootstock increased fastest.Therefore, ‘RS-2’ and ‘Wild Tomato’ as rootstocks could not only promote the growth of eggplant, but also promote the absorption and enrichment of selenium in soil, which was conducive to the production of selenium rich eggplant, among which ‘Wild Tomato’ rootstock had the best effect.
