Abstract:
Taking eggplant as the plant material, a compound matrix was prepared with Caragana korshinskii fermentation material, peat, vermiculite, and perlite in specific proportions.A comparative analysis method was employed to study the growth of eggplant in different substrates, focusing on the impact of their physical and chemical properties, and screen for the optimal ratio of Caragana korshinskii complex matrix, in roder to provide reference for the development of plant waste resources. The results showed that when the ratio of fermentation of Caragana korshinskii to vermiculite was 3∶1,2∶2 or 1∶3,it was not suitable for the growth of eggplants, and the comprehensive performance of the eggplant was the worst among the that using compound substrates of other ratio; the ratio was 1∶3 or 3∶1,it was decreased plant height, stem thickness, and leaf number of eggplants; the ratio was 2∶2,the eggplants had lower dry matter accumulation and weak resistance; the ratio was 1∶3 or 3∶1,the matrix had great effect for the increase of plant height, stem diameter and leaf number, and the accumulation of dry and fresh weight in the above-ground and underground parts of eggplant. Moreover, the chlorophyll and root activity of eggplant was also higher, and the resistance was increased.
