Abstract: The new pumpkin variety‘Baimi No.5’ is a new small fruit type pumpkin F₁ hybrid of early maturity,bred from the inbred line TYMB4C1 as the female parent and 4872 as the male parent.The whole growth period is about 150 days.The plant has strong growth potential,main and side vines can sit melon.The first female flower node is 12-15 nodes.The continuous fruit setting ability is strong,and the pear shape of the fruit is both ornamental.The pumpkin surface has a light edge.The pumpkin is about 25cm long,and the transverse diameter is 12.2-13.8cm.The young pumpkin skin is green.The ripe pumpkin skin is brownish yellow,and the flesh is golden yellow.The flesh is about 3cm thick,with high sweetness and fine texture.The average single fruit weight is 1.68kg.It is highly resistant to powdery mildew,moderate antiviral disease and downy mildew in the field.The yield per 667m~2 is about 3 000kg.It is suitable for planting in Henan Province and Huang-Huai River Basin.
