Abstract:
Tomato varieties of ‘Banzhen No.1’ and rootstock ‘Qidali’ were used as experimental materials. With the method of cleft double root-cutting graft and close-joining double root-cutting graft, the effects of double root cutting treatments with different grafting methods on tomato plant growth, fruit yield and quality were expected to provide a refence for tomato cultivation and production. The results showed that double root-cutting grafting treatments of different grafting methods significantly promoted plant growth, increased tomato yield, soluble solid, soluble protein and sugar content, but had little effect on titratable acid content. The weight loss rate of fruit during storage was decreased by cleft root-cutting, but increased by close-joining graft. In this experiment, the yield and quality of tomato could be improved by double root-cutting grafting, and the storage time of tomato with cleft double root-cutting graft was longer than that with close-joining double root-cutting graft. In conclusion, double root-cutting grafting could improve the growth, yield and fruit quality of tomato.
