Abstract
Six Lentinula edodes varieties were used as research materials to study their feasibility of application in under-forest cultivation.Biological efficiency, commercial properties and nutrient composition of each variety were analyzed, comparison of environmental conditions and yields with solar greenhouse cultivation were investigated, in order to provide reference for the scientific development of under-forest edible fungi. The results showed that although the average growth rate of ‘Xiayi’ was relatively slow, the yield of ‘Xiayi’ was more evenly distributed in different flush with a biological efficiency of 67.59%,which was not significantly different from that in the solar greenhouse. The fruiting bodies of ‘Xiayi’ were well-proportioned and had a higher hardness, and the contents of carbohydrate, protein, essential amino acid, dietary fiber and crude polysaccharide ranked in the top three of the tested varieties.‘Xiayi’ was more suitable for under-forest Lentinula edodes cultivation in northern China.
