Abstract
Large-scale land management is an important driving force for the improvement of agricultural ecological efficiency, but the role of large-scale land management in agricultural ecological efficiency is regulated by urban and rural market segmentation. This research studied the adjustment of urban and rural market segmentation during large-scale land management affecting agricultural ecological efficiency using panel data from 30 provinces with panel threshold model. The results showed that, 1) China′s agricultural ecological efficiency was generally better, but the regional differences were large.2) Large-scale land management drived the improvement of agricultural ecological efficiency, but there was a threshold adjustment for urban and rural market segmentation.Large-scale land management in weak market segmentation areas promoted agricultural ecological efficiency, strong market segmentation had the opposite effect.3) Urban and rural market segmentation adjust the process land scale operation driving agricultural ecological efficiency mainly weaken the willingness and ability of green agricultural development entities with restricting the rational flow of agricultural products, labor, and capital.4) The level of urban and rural market segmentation in most provinces was relatively high, and timely reform was needed. This research can provide reference for government to formulate green agricultural development strategies.
