Abstract:
Garlic has the physiological characteristics of dormancy, and the length of the dormancy period directly affects the supply period, yield and quality of garlic, and leads to difficulties in the research of early maturing cultivation and virus-free rapid propagation of garlic. This paper reviewed the material basis and environmental conditions for releasing dormancy in garlic, summarized the methods to release dormancy in garlic from low temperature treatment,chemical treatment, physical stimulation and integrated treatment, respectively, in order to provide reference for the physiological and biochemical research of dormancy in garlic and the rational arrangement of sowing period in its production.
