Abstract:
Corn silk is a byproduct of corn composed of style and stigma, which is one of the traditional Chinese medicinal herbs. Corn silk contains polysaccharides, flavones and other functional components, with antioxidant and immunomodulatory effect and other efficacy. This paper expounds the technology of corn silk harvesting, extracting and processing based on the comprehensive analysis of research literatures, and discusses the characteristics and development prospect of corn silk processing products, which aims to provide technical reference for efficient utilization and in-depth development of corn silk.
