Abstract:
Tropical fruit resources are abundant in China, but its serious loss in harvesting, storage, transportation and sales in the whole supply chain results in a decreased commodity value, thus affecting the healthy development of tropical fruit industry. This paper summarized the physiological characteristics and production of five typical and high yield tropical fruits(banana, pineapple, lychee, longan and mango) in China, and analyzed the technical characteristics,preservation effect, application and existing problems of tropical fruit storage and preservation. The future development direction and application prospects of postharvest preservation technology on tropical fruits were further proposed, aiming to provide a scientific reference for the construction and development of the postharvest system for tropical fruit industry in China.
