Abstract:
In this paper, three groups of test specimens, including non-stitched test specimens, improved lock stitching test specimens and tufting stitching test specimens, are selected to verify the effect of stitching on shear properties of sandwich panels by measuring the shear strength and shear modulus of foam sandwich panels. The experimental results show that the shear properties of the material can be improved by properly optimizing the stitching density, and the shear properties of the improved lock stitching test specimen are better than those of the non-stitching and tufting stitching test specimens.
