Abstract: In this paper,a set of drum brake performance simulation test platform for commercial vehicle is developed by means of modular design. The test platform can be used for the brake performance test,thermal declination-recovery test,brake lining wear test and noise detection,and test the braking torque changed with braking pressure,speed,etc. This paper mainly analyzes the overall design principle of the test platform,the design of the measurement and control system of the test platform and the analysis of the test results. The results show that the test platform can meet the performance test requirements of different drum brakes.
