Abstract: As a typical non-contact strain measurement technology, digital image correlation（DIC） is a powerful and flexible tool for surface deformation measurement. The advantages of this method are that the test setup and sample preparation are simple, the requirements for the measurement environment are low, and the measurement sensitivity and resolution range are large. This paper mainly introduces the basic theory and key technology of DIC method and its application in engineering.
