Abstract:
Conformal antenna is a kind of antenna which is conformally integrated with aircraft structure. On the premise of ensuring the electrical performance of antenna,this kind of antenna can maintain the integrity of the aerodynamic shape of the aircraft,improve the aerodynamic characteristics of aircraft,and also can improve the reliability of the antenna itself.Composite materials,especially the honeycomb sandwich structure,have been widely used in the modern aircrafts,and the wave transmittance of composite materials,especially the glass fabric,is much better than that of metal materials. The antenna can also be embedded as a layer of composite materials,which provides an excellent condition for the application and development of airborne conformal antenna. An implementation scheme of conformal antenna is introduced in the paper,and the simulation results are compared with the measured results in the lab. The results are consistent with each other,so the conformal antenna designed in the paper basically meets the installation conditions,and has broad development and application prospects.
