Numerical Analysis of Compression Deformation of Doors Weatherstrip Seals Based on Typical Segmentation Model

  • Sealing performance is one of the important indicators of vehicle performance evaluation. In this paper, the finite element method is used to study the compression deformation of the sealing strip during the door closing process.Firstly,a finite element model was established according to the geometric characteristics of the door.In order to accelerate the convergence of the nonlinear analysis of the finite element, efficient segmented modeling and analysis methods were used for the rubber weatherstrip.value.Studies have shown that the straight section of the door weather strip has a better overall sealing performance during compression, while the contact of the curved section on the outer sealing lip is relatively weak, and the sealing performance is reduced. The research results can be used as a guide for the optimal design of sealing strip products, and have certain engineering application value.
