Abstract:
【Objective】 The study was conducted to find out the difference in comprehensive quality among 8 different Lonicera japonica varieties from 5 different cultivation areas.【Method】 The contents of main bioactive compounds and antioxidant capacity were determined by using HPLC and spectrophotometry, and the comprehensive quality was appraised by the method of fuzzy comprehensive appraisal method(FCAM).【Result】 There were significant differences in the contents of main bioactive compounds(e. g.chlorogenic acid, luteoloside, soluble sugar, total flavonoids and phenolics) and antioxidant capacities(DPPH scavenging activity and FRAP value) among different varieties and cultivation areas. Of 7 varieties cultivated in Yongjing, the variety ‘Beihua Yihao’ had the highest contents of chlorogenic acid, soluble sugar and total phenolics as well as FRAP value. Among 8 varieties cultivated in 5 main areas, the variety ‘Beihua Yihao’ at Tongwei and Yongjing counties had a higher comprehensive appraisal value(D value),which were 0. 71 and 0. 64,respectively.【Conclusion】 The variety ‘Beihua Yihao’ had the highest value of comprehensive quality, which hence is suitable for cultivation in Gansu province. These findings could provide scientific and useful references for highly efficient large-scale cultivation of L. japonica in Gansu,as well as other regions of Northwest China.
