Abstract: On the basis of analysis on the development trends of energy and polymer materials, the development of biomass-based polymer materials and their potential for energy saving were reviewed.The current situation and future development of specific polymer materials derived from cellulose, lignin, lactic acid and other forest resources were discussed in detail.
