Abstract: The course of General Zoology, one of the basic courses of majors of biology, the experimental design of which aims to strengthen students’ learning ability and hands-on ability of combining theory with practice. It is very important for local agricultural and forestry colleges to activate students’ interest in General Zoological experiments. In the teaching process of the course of General Zoology, the educational measures were taken to activate students’ learning interests and initiatives, strengthen students’ understanding of theoretical knowledge, help students to form professional and scientific way of thinking and improve students’ moral cultivation. Which of educational measures were as follows as encouraging students to do class preview, constructing experiments reasonably and scientifically, upgrading students’ ability of experiment operation and observation, optimizing the evaluation system and integrating ideological and political elements into course teaching harmoniously at Shanxi Agricultural University.
