Abstract:
Livestock Reproduction is characterized with strong practicality. Exploring new teaching models of experiments plays an important role in improving the teaching effect of Livestock Reproduction. This study explored the effects of problem-based learning(PBL) methodology in the teaching of Livestock Reproduction experiments. The participants were divided into two groups: the traditional group with the traditional teaching mode and the PBL group with the PBL teaching mode. The results showed that the PBL group had better performances in experimental reporting, operation and results presentation than the traditional group. The questionnaire survey revealed that the PBL group was more satisfied with the interest, innovation design and value of the ability improvement of the experiments than the traditional group, indicating that the PBL teaching method was helpful to improve the teaching effect of livestock reproduction.
