Abstract: The course of Sheep Production, with its strong practicality, is one of the required courses in animal science majors of agricultural and forestry colleges or universities and plays a great role in cultivating high-quality practical animal husbandry talents. From the perspective of educating students, this paper points out the issues existing in the conventional teaching mode, curriculum content and assessment methods by looking into such five aspects as the education philosophy, ideology of being educators, teaching methods, diversified assessment and way of thinking of students. The objectives of this paper is to mobilize undergraduates learning enthusiasm, initiative and interest, thus improving college teaching efficiency for cultivating high-quality professionals for the development of modern animal husbandry.
