Abstract:
In order to explore the breeding habits of the Cuba flamingos and accumulate basic production and management data, artificial hatching and breeding of Cuban flamingos were observed in Harbin North Forest Zoo. The results showed that the optimal temperature and humidity of artificial incubation of Cuba flamingos was 37.5~37.8 ℃, 55%~60%, respectively; The average weight loss rate was 14.60%, the hatch rate was 61.54%(8 individuals), the survival rate of chicks was 87.5%(7 individuals), the rate of healthy chicks is 100%. Feeding management, breeding temperature, feed composition, feed quantity and weight gain rate are the key factors affecting the effectiveness of breeding chicks.
