Abstract: Animal Reproduction is one of the required courses for animal science major education and characterizes with the knowledge and skills of theory and practice. Animal Reproduction experiments could provide an effective way for students to deepen their understanding of professional knowledge and improve their hands-on operation abilities. To cultivate innovative talents in animal science and improve students’ practical skills, the teaching reforms were performed from multiple aspects such as optimizing teaching content, enriching teaching methods, and improving course assessment, in response to the problems of outdated teaching content and overuse of single teaching methods, etc., which plaguing the teaching of animal reproduction experiments for many years. This paper summarized some ideas, methods, and effectiveness of the teaching reform of Animal Reproduction experiments during the past five years.
