案例教学在动物科学专业动物繁殖学课程中的应用

Application of case teaching in Animal Reproduction course of Animal Science specialty

  • 摘要: 动物繁殖学是高等学校动物科学专业必修的专业基础课程,是研究动物生殖活动及其调控规律、调控技术、繁殖障碍和繁殖管理的科学。采用填鸭式理论讲授不能让学生透彻领悟该课程的基本理论和技术。案例教学可以更好地实现理论知识和实践经验的结合,提升学生发现、思考和解决专业问题的能力,从而有助于提高教学质量。文章总结了河南农业大学动物科技学院动物繁殖学教研团队采用的“课前案例研习+课堂案例实训+课后案例归纳”的案例教学方法,在动物繁殖学课程的教学中取得了良好的教学效果。

     

    Abstract: Animal Reproduction, a compulsory basic course in animal science curriculum, includes comprehensive components on the physiological systems of reproduction and on the approaches that are used to manipulate reproduction and reproductive management in domesticated animals. Therefore, the spoon-fed teaching may not be an effective way of teaching students to fully understand the basic theories and technology in Animal Reproduction course. The case method is a participatory, discussion-based way of learning where students gain skills in critical thinking, communication, group dynamics, and a type of problem-based learning. The teaching and research team of Animal Reproduction course in College of Animal Science and Technology of Henan Agricultural University has developed a set of case methods of “case study prior to a class + classroom case training + case conclusion after school”, which proved to be conductive to teaching and learning.
