Abstract: To explore the artificial incubation of greater flamingo（Phoenicopterus roseus）, 25 greater flamingo eggs from the flamingo flock were collected and were artificially incubated in Harbin Northern Forest Zoo from 2015 to 2017. The egg weight, egg shape index, incubation period and artificial incubation conditions of greater flamingo were observed and investigated. The results showed that the average egg weight of the greater flamingoes was 161.98 g, with a symmetrical oblong ovoid shape, white or gray—blue, a chalky eggshell, and the average egg oval index was 1.59; the suggested artificial incubation temperature was 37.2-37.8 ℃ and the suggested incubation humidity was 45%-60% during artificial incubation, and the incubation period was about 28 d; Fourteen greater flamingo eggs were successfully hatched with a healthy chick rate of 100%.
