Abstract: As an important part of modern animal husbandry, animal science talents cultivation plays an important role in the supply of meat, eggs, milk and other animal husbandry products and the development of national economy. In order to promote the development of animal husbandry, agricultural colleges and universities should strengthen the training of animal science professionals to improve the technical level of animal science professionals. However, there are such challenges in teaching as the lack of close combination of teaching and practice or the separation of teaching and practice, the inability of students to effectively apply the knowledge they have learned in class to animal husbandry practice, and the ineffectiveness of practice teaching. Practice showed that the implementation of the “Industry-Teaching-Research Integration” practical teaching model reform, focusing on strengthening practical education, deepening reforms and practices in the integration of industry and education, and school enterprise cooperation, promoting production through learning and research through industry, would ultimately achieve mutual benefit and reciprocity, improve teaching quality, enhance students’ professional knowledge, and drive the development of animal husbandry.
