Abstract:
The aim of this experiment was to study the application of porcine embryo transfer technology in prevention of porcine circovirus type 2 infection, so as to provide a reference for pig production. Healthy pig ovaries for the experiment were collected, the cumulus oocyte complex with uniform cytoplasm was picked up and cultured to obtain mature oocytes. The mature healthy recipient sows with a weight of greater than 30 kg and in normal estrus were chosen and had mature oocytes transferred into the uterine to recover their early embryos. Using the Porcine Circovirus Type 2 ELISA Antigen Detection Kit to determine the epidemic prevention effect of healthy porcine embryos. The results showed that healthy porcine embryos could prevent the 3~4 folds concentration of porcine circovirus type 2 at least, showing an encouraging epidemic prevention effect. It could be concluded that the porcine embryo transfer technology could help establish a healthy population on embryo levels, and effectively prevent porcine circovirus type 2 infection in piglets.
