Abstract:
“Animal Reproduction Teaching Practice” is a required course for animal science majors, aiming at educating students to learn certain modern animal reproduction technologies and grow into innovative talents serving animal husbandry production and related scientific research. Based on its own disciplinary development and curriculum characteristics, the teaching team of Animal Reproduction course at Guangxi University has deeply explored ideological and political elements, carried out innovative reforms in education and teaching methods, integrated ideological and educational elements into teaching, and cultivated the talents needed for high-quality development of animal husbandry. This course teaching is holding the idea of cultivating morality and nurturing talents to construct the system of virtual simulation teaching resources through integrating ideological and political education before, during, and after class teaching, combining virtual simulation with traditional courses, integrating ideological and political education into industry-education-research, setting up an evaluation mechanism for course ideological and political education, and implementing practical strategies such as course ideological and political construction and reform, which greatly enhances students’ professional identity and their responsibility and responsibility of serving agriculture, rural areas, and farmers.
