Abstract: “Great Ideological and Political Education” serves as a novel educational paradigm designed to enhance the high-quality development of ideological and political education within courses. Fish Breeding is one of the core courses in aquaculture, covering technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the aquaculture industry and playing an important role in cultivating practitioners of aquatic technology innovation in the new era. Fully exploring the ideological and political elements contained in Fish Breeding and integrating value education and professional knowledge education into the teaching process can help achieve seamless integration between professional education and value guidance. The article systematically introduces and analyzes the exploration and practice ofideological and political education in the Fish Breeding course at the College of Animal Science and Technology, Henan Agricultural University, aiming to cultivate the students with the concept of uniting knowledge and behavior, while also adhering to the spirit of agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, continuously improving the teaching quality of Fish Breeding, and providing reference for promoting the reform and practical application of ideological and political education in major courses.
