Abstract: The timed insemination techniques following estrus synchronization are important reproductive management techniques in large-scale cattle farms. However, in the process of the application of this technology, there are many problems in the operation procedures, objects and operation details, and it is difficult to achieve the expected effect.This article summarized the reproductive mechanisms of timely insemination and timed insemination following estrus synchronization and the operational methods in estrus synchronization in cows, sorted out common technical schemes for timely insemination and timed insemination following estrus synchronization at home and abroad, and explored the advantages and application effects of timed insemination. It suggested that the technology of timed insemination following estrus synchronization would improve reproductive proficiency and the rate of mating and conception in cows, showing potentials in the production of beef cattle in large-scale breeding farms.
