生物信息学课程在动物科学类专业中的教学方法探索

Exploration of teaching methods in Bioinformatics in the animal science major

  • 摘要: 生物信息学是生物学、统计学、计算机科学等多学科交叉融合的新型前沿学科,研究内容主要包括生物数据的采集、存储、处理、分析和解释等。随着生物信息学在畜牧学领域的应用越来越广泛,生物信息学课程在动物科学类专业中的教学地位也越来越重要。文章以河南科技学院动物科技学院生物信息学课程教学为例,提出线下讲授和网络学习相结合、理论与实践相结合,注重学生实践操作能力的培养、以就业为导向、科研促进教学,教学反哺科研等教学方法,提升生物信息学课程的教学质量。结果表明,这些教学方法的应用有助于激发动物科学类专业学生学习的兴趣,增强其实践应用能力。

     

    Abstract: Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary field of science that involves using computer technology to collect, store, analyze and disseminate biological data and information. With the wide application of bioinformatics in the field of animal husbandry, the importance of the teaching of Bioinformatics course in the major of animal science has addressed increasingly. Based on the teaching practice of Bioinformatics course at the College of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine of Henan Institute of Science and Technology, this paper proposed some teaching methods of improving the teaching effects of Bioinformatics, which were as follows: the combination of off-line teaching and on-line learning, balancing of theory and practice teaching, cultivation of students’ hands-on abilities, introduction of employment-oriented teaching, integration of scientific findings into teaching and feeding back scientific research through teaching. The application of these teaching methods mentioned above proved to be helpful in improving the teaching effectiveness of Bioinformatics course, inspiring students’ interest in learning, enhancing the practical application ability of students majoring in animal science.
