Preliminary study on the effect of estrus synchronization and timing insemination in sheep

In order to explore the techniques of simultaneous estrus and regular insemination breeding suitable forsheep breed improvement in Xinjiang, the experiment was conducted from August 2017 to November 2019. HealthyKazak sheep, fine wool sheep and their hybrid offspring with normal reproductive function, were selected to conductthe experiment of simultaneous estrus and regular insemination. The results showed that the estrus rate of theexperimental sheep was good after the unified experimental scheme, and there was little difference among thegroups. However, the reproductive rate was very different, and the sheep of group 3 were treated with short-actingoxytetracycline, resulting in a sharp increase in the incidence of vaginitis. The results indicated that domestic progesteronesuppository combined with pregnant mare serum gonadotropin treatment of ewe in the same period of estrus and regularsemen infusion had a good effect. It should be noted that long-term products from precious manufacturers should be selectedfor medicines; at the same time, the management of the herd should be strengthened to prevent secret breeding.
