Abstract
The animal husbandry industry is an important pillar in promoting farmers’ income and achieving rural revitalization. Therefore, accelerating the construction of a high-quality technical and skilled team of animal husbandry and veterinary professionals is the mission of agricultural vocational education. Taking Ningxia Agricultural School as an example and combining with the core skill requirements of modern breeding enterprises, this paper introduced the basic situation of the cattle frozen semen thawing and quality identification competition, analyzed the actual operation of the Livestock and Poultry Breeding and Improvement training course, and proposed improvement directions, mainly including a close connection with industrial development, building a three-dimensional resource loop, breaking down barriers between training and competition, and optimizing training teaching content to secure a continuously improved practical training effectiveness. The results showed that integrating the results of skill competitions into routine teaching had brought about a significant promoting effect on updating practical training ideology, integrating online and offline resources, re-shaping the practical training process, and fusion of job, courses, certificates, and innovations.
