Abstract
Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey(Rhinopithecus roxellanae) is unique to China and a class Ⅰ protected animal in China, listed as endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature(IUCN) Red List. The future development of captive populations depends mainly on the reproduction of captive born individuals. This paper proposes suggestions for improving the survival and fertility of Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys in captivity, based on the practices of feeding and management, environmental control, reproductive management, disease prevention, enrichment, and behavioral training in Tianjin Zoo, with intention of providing references for improving the efficiency of the feeding and management of captive Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys.
