Pedigree analysis of 2022 global top 10 champion thoroughbred sallions

In thoroughbred racing, the pedigree, or bloodline of a horse plays a big part in the value placed on the horse and the purchase price of the yearling. The most important thing in looking at a thoroughbred pedigree is who the ancestors are and what they produce. In order to provide a reference for introduction, use and breeding of thoroughbred horses, the pedigree data of 2022 top 10 stallions of thoroughbred horses were investigated for having a better understanding of inbreeding situation in top stallions of thoroughbred breeds. The results showed that 7 of 10 stallions were inbred stallions and, the highest coefficient of inbreeding was 0.049 1, the average of the inbreeding coefficient of group was 0.013 6,the most influential was Native Dancer.
