Abstract:
In order to promote the breeding of cold resistant varieties of winter potatoes in Guangxi, Long Potato 3(L3), Long Potato 9(L9) and Guinong Potato 1(G1) were used as experimental materials for anvil ear intergrafting, and 4 grafting combinations of L3G1, G1L3, L9G1 and G1L9 were obtained. The cold resistance index of rootstock, scion and grafting combination was determined. The representative indexes were extracted by principal component analysis, and the cold resistance of rootstock, scion and grafting combination was evaluated by membership function analysis. The results showed that G1 was a cold resistant variety, L3 and L9 were not cold resistant varieties, L3G1 and L9G1 were medium cold resistant varieties, G1L3 and G1L9 were low cold resistant varieties, and the order of cold resistance was G1>L3G1>G1L3>L3, G1>L9G1>G1L9>L9. The results of cold resistance evaluation were basically consistent with the cold damage of plant leaves observed in the field. The comprehensive analysis showed that the varieties with strong cold resistance could improve the chilling tolerance of grafting combination whether as rootstock or scion, and when used as rootstock, it has great influence on the cold resistance of grafting combination.
