Abstract: In order to further promote the medicinal research and rational development and utilization of Polygonatum odoratum,this paper,based on ancient books,combined with the physical and chemical identification and analysis of the active components of Polygonatum odoratumat home and abroad and the research status of different pharmacological functions,collated the research data of the active components of Polygonatum odoratum（polysaccharides,flavonoids,saponins,volatile oil,etc.）in anti-inflammatory,hypoglycemic,immune regulation,anti-tumor and other aspects.The research progress of pharmacological action of Polygonatum odoratum in recent years was reviewed,and the industrialization prospect of Polygonatum odoratum was prospected.
