Abstract: In order to promote the popularization and application of Longjing 57,a new early maturing glutinous rice variety,this paper introduced the breeding process,characteristics and cultivation techniques of Longjing57.Longjing 57 was bred by Rice Research Institute of Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2006 by crossing Longjiao 04-2637 as female parent and Longjing 29 as male parent.In 2017,it was approved by Heilongjiang Crop Variety Approval Committee（Heishendao 2017033）.Longjing 57 has the characteristics of early maturity,high yield,lodging resistance and high head rice rate,which is suitable for cultivation in the third accumulated temperature zone of Heilongjiang Province.
