Abstract: In order to effectively control Monolepta hieroglyphicain corn field and monitor its occurrence regularity,the yellow sticky insect board（yellow board）was hung at different heights in corn field according to the phototaxis of the leaf beetle,and the two hanging heights of 1.0 mabove the ground and 1.0 mabove the ear of corn were designed.Each treatment was repeated three times,and the trapping and killing of Monolepta hieroglyphica on yellow board and its adhesion to natural enemies were investigated every 7 days from July to September.The results showed that yellow board could accurately predict the occurrence of Monolepta hieroglyphica.During the whole experiment period,the yellow board hanging higher than the panicle attracted679 Monolepta hieroglyphica per 625 square meters,the peak number of trapping was 2 528 per 625 square meters,and the yellow board placed 1.0 m above the ground attracted 295 Monolepta hieroglyphica per625 square meters,the highest number of traps was 985 per 625 square meters.The total number of traps for Monolepta hieroglyphica of yellow board treatment 1.0 mabove the ear of maize was 2.1 times of that for yellow board treatment 1.0 mabove the ground.In the whole experiment period,the average number of ladybugs per 625 square meters was 139,aphid flies per 625 square meters was 5.5,Chrysopidae per 625 square meters was 15.5,mirid bugs per 625 square meters was 9.7,and spiders per 625 square meters was 5.5,so we should pay attention to the influence of yellow board on natural enemies insects to avoid the change of insect community environment in the field.
