Abstract: In order to further standardize the cultivation and management of Panax notoginseng,random block test method was used to investigate the differences of plant growth characteristics and saponin content in different treatments.The results showed that seedling grade was positively correlated with plant height,stem base diameter,leaf size,tuber root weight,diseased plant rate and saponin yield,and negatively correlated with seedling emergence rate,seedling survival rate,root shoot ratio and tuber root water content.When carrying out seedling grading transplanting in production,gradeⅠ and Ⅱ seedlings with seedling weight more than 1.5 g should be selected.
