Comparision of Summer Soybean Introduction in the Alar Region

  • In order to select high-yield and high protein soybean varieties suitable for post wheat replanting in the Alar Region, 26 soybean varieties were introduced for experimentation. The results showed that 10 out of the 26 tested varieties had a growth period of less than 87 days; There are 9 within 88-94 days; There are 7 with in 95-105 days. The plant height was 33.1-73.9 cm; The number of main stem nodes was 10.1-13.6; The height of the bottom pod was 3.0-11.1 cm. The number of pods per plant ranges from 20.4 to 40.2; The number of grains per plant ranges from 56.7 to 104.6; The weight of one hundred seeds ranges from 17.5 g to 30.3 g. There were 2 varieties with a yield of over 4 500 kg·ha-1, 14 varieties with a yield of over 3 750 kg·ha-1, and 1 variety with a yield of less than 3 000 kg·ha-1. There were 13 varieties with a protein content over 43%, with the highest reaching 46.45% for Hailunsihuawang; There were 19 varieties with a fat content over 20%, among them Kennong 18 had the highest accounting for 22.9%. Based on the comprehensive protein content and yield, high protein and high-yield soybean varieties suitable for cultivation in the Alar Region were selected as Dongnong 63 and Beijiangjiu 1, both of them are early maturing varieties with a growth period of about 87 days.
